COMMON+NEPTUNES "CLOSE TO YOU"

Chicago rapper Common, of "The Light" fame, is currently wrapping up production of his fifth album, Electric Circus. The MC recently mixed what is expected to be the first single, "Close to You," which features a guest appearance by Mary J. Blige and was produced by the Neptunes.

wow....like water for choclate was commercial but common and the neptunes?....i dont know....common is really changing....this is way too commercial....

you thought LWFC was commercial? i just thought it was different.. none of his LPs sound the same...

Same here. I hope for his sake that they come up with something different to the same 'ol shit they give every other artist these days.

dont worry so much, i mean if the beat is bangin and his lyrics are bangin then what the hell ya'll worryin about.........i mean he needs some tight production anywayz.....the neptunes have made beats for lots of commercial cats, but they havent made it for any underground somewhat like common.......so yah neva know

i do...it was just not the same common album to me...his shit used to be a little more raw...
