T.I. Asks Shawty Lo...
« on: August 04, 2008, 11:55:47 AM »
Hip-Hop superstar T.I. has finally addressed his situation with fellow ATL rival Shawty Lo in a recent interview questioning the rapper’s true intentions and even extending his hand.

In a one-on-one talk with hip-hop personality Kendra G, the self-proclaimed “King of the South” was asked how serious he takes rap beefs including his current one with the D4L member.

“You cannot take something that’s not true seriously,” he answered. “All of the things that he claim, his reasons as to why he has a problem with me, they’re all false. You know what I’m saying? He saying I ain’t from Bankhead. I’m saying dawg, I’ve been rapping for 9 years. This my sixth album. You mean to tell me I’ve been, I’m not from Bankhead, ain’t been from Bankhead all this time?”

Continuing to analyze the rapper’s reasoning behind attempting to call him out, Tip asked his live audience “why [he] wasn’t saying I wasn’t from Bankhead when [he] was doing the Laffy Taffy” before explaining why he’s the only question interviewers ask Shawty about.

“When you hear this guy in an interview, in the first 30 seconds what is he talking about,” Tip asked the crowd. “He talkin’ ‘bout me. That’s all he got to talk about.”

Being careful with his own words, Tip easily dismantled any possibility of a real war of words being exchanged between the two much like his career-ending battle with Houston rapper Lil’ Flip.

“It’s a marketing tool at this point,” he explained. “It’s nothing for me to take seriously. It’s something that he’s doing. I think, at this point, to put food on his family table.

Ending the interview by convincing fans that “If you fakin’, you can’t fake for this long. I’ve been here for a long time”, Tip explained his focus on positive decisions and being the first person to help Shawty Lo when he’s ready.

“I’m at a point in my life where I’m focused on positive influences,” he promised. “I’m focused on doing everything I can to build the hood up, not to try and tear the hood down. Even if he came to me and said he needed some help. I’d be the first person to help. You know what I’m saying? But then that’s my position, that’s my position as king.

Paper Trail is scheduled to hit stores September 30 on Atlantic Records.

^if it's an actual article from a hiphop website, i dont see the problem..if i was just posting my own random thoughts on it and writing this shit up myself, then i'd see why you'd have an issue with it.
