if were gonna resign manny, were gonna have to trade one of: jones, pierre, kemp or ethier.   unless pierre and jones are willing to renegotiate their contract, were stuck with em.  i dont know what the fuck colletti and mccourt gonna do, but i hope manny is in the equation.

I honestly don't think Manny is coming back, not that he doesn't want to, but because we won't do any crazy bids

if I'm not mistaken he was scheduled to make $20 million next season before he decided to be a free agent

whatever the case - he wants more than he was previously making..... and that's OVER $20 million

that being said, no way is McCourt going to fuck around and do that, especially 5 years at that

Personally I think 5 years is too much, I would prefer 3 but it looks like he wants no less than 4, which isn't too bad

my first offer on the table would be 4-years $85 million..... I'd assume he's probably looking for 4-years $100 million

well, jones and pierre both said they want to be traded to another team if they dont get regular playing time...they aint gonna get that here.  Manny or no manny, kemp and ethier (unless one is traded) WILL be in the lineup 99% of the time..leaving pierre and jones fighting it out for the starting LF spot (if there is no manny). 

if they both want regular playing time, one of 2 things gonna have to happen before they get traded..they either gonna have to renegotiate or the dodgers gonna have to eat a big part of their sallary.  pierre might be easier to unload of the two, seeing as he can actually hit the ball..once in a blue moon.  and he has more RBI than jones! lol

if the dodgers resign manny, the $$ his name would bring in, is worth it alone.  the dodgers havent had a player of his magnitude in a LONG time..if ever.  those manny wigs, his jerseys, the asses he put in the seats, all worth it at $25M/4 years..not to mention the fact that he gives us the bat weve been looking for, for YEARS, and gives us a REAL shot at going to the WS.
