I just checked out "Dr. Dre - Detoxification", it's nothin but RENAMED OLD TRACKS, my bad about postin that thread about "Detoxification", i thought it was EXCLUSIVE but Dre aint serious about giving us NEW material on a consistent basis, it's recycled mess. It's tha same thing wit Quik, They pump out like 3 or 4 tracks a year and the rest is OLD STUFF from OLD ALBUMS, with either new names or some type of updated homemade remix. They keep puttin up OLD tracks on their MySpace pages over and over or fake Mixtapes like The Trauma Mixtape Wit About 4 New Tracks & The Rest OLD STUFF etc. etc. I'm not even crazy about all this Gucci Mane, 50 Cent, Lloyd Banks, Young Jeezy Stuff but I give them much respect for constantly droppin off new material on the mixtape circuit or throwin exclusive tracks on the Net for their fans so they can enjoy some new stuff. Now I know that some of these Mixtapes are not from Dre & Quik exclusively but still that doesn't cover up the fact that they leave us short of NEW material or are constantly delaying projects.

Dj Quik & Dr. Dre Are My Favorite West Coast Producers & I'm Sure Alot Others Agree But They Gotta Step Their Game Up With The New Material.

All these rumours, set backs, phony release dates & recycled tracks gotta go and are pissin off fans to the point where some might lose interest. IT'S LIKE STAT QUO SAID - THEY'RE IN THE STUDIO DAY & NIGHT MAKING CLASSIC MUSIC & NEVER RELEASING ANY OF IT FOR ANYONE ELSE TO HEAR BUT THEM, WHAT"S THE POINT !!!!

Just one of my views................ Quik, Dre - "Step It Up, Do What U Do Best."

Bcuz thats All ya'll care about is the old shit.  Trust that they read these boards (definatly dubcc).  And thats all thats talked about re-hashed shit from 22 years ago.  So wats a nigga to do, its smart marketing if u ask me.  but i do agree i want more new shit and older unreleased tracks too.  but if i'm an artist and only my older shit is gettin bang all day and my newer shit is always gettin shitted on wit no toilet paper then I'd give the people wat they want (old shit) or nothing.

*classics never die but dam, u gotta bang the 'new' one day*

quik isn't on dre's level when it comes to working on stuff and never putting it out. remember quik mixed 2 entire albums in '08 (snoop and murs) even though he only produced a few tracks. the funny thing is dre is supposed to have this incredible, astounding unreleased catalogue so anything he actually allows to be put out should be absolute fire. yet some of dre's stuff that we've actually been allowed to hear the last couple of years hasn't really been very classic. something don't add up...

those words ain't Dre's.
it's cats like Quik,Stat and Bishop's words. According to them Dre ain't pleased with his work...so  :P

but yes something don't add up....
by looking at the feedback,it seems like;
-33% like him to do (upgraded) gangster beats.
-33% like him to do club bangers.
-33% like him to do the "grown up" piano sound.

(maybe we should do a poll?)

Probably Dre's best beat post-2001, scarily destined for the recycle bin until 50 got a hold of it  :o

definitely its got that bounce that i've always loved from dre tracks. expect detox to use these new drum sounds that dre has been playing with and hopefully some interesting instrumentation/melodies. murder them murderers might be quite dramatic but the drums sound more 2001 than detox to me. the only thing i'm scared of is that the entire album will be extremely slow/downtempo (ie papoose track, grow up) and not groovy enough. not that a chilled out vibe isn't cool, but i prefer to hear more jazz/FUNK/classical influence coupled with that bounce than the mega chilled westcoast vibe on grow up or some slow orchestra/menacing shit. imagine was a real nice track but again very very mellow.

I consider that a club banger...
"Murder Them Murders" is my favorite, sort of "upgraded" gangster beats mixed with his "new grown up" piano sound.
It will be hard for Dre for please his fans... I will be pissed if he go for club beats, others might be pissed if he go for "boring" piano beats.  :P

I'm a big fan of that slow orchestra/menacing shit.  :P :) ;)
6-2/Genacide,One Gud Cide/Twisted Black, FaceMob...... and even Slim The Mobster's - It's Cold Out Here has been in heavy rotation in 2008.
