Niggas opinions is gonna vary about Fase and him rapping be he really dont care about the negative feedback and shit matter of fact he just did an interview with westcoastrydaz.cpm

Now onto our exclusive interview. We caught up with Fase to talk about the new project, his point of view on the issues with The Game, future projects on Brazil Street, his thoughts on fan feedback - both positive and negative - and he also tells us why he decided to start rapping again, his views on Compton rap and much more.

WestCoastRydaz.com: So you have this new project done, something that fans have been asking for and talking about for a long time. How does it feel to know you completed something that’s been so anticipated and how do you feel about the finished product?

BigFase100: First of all, I'm glad people are checking for me. Secondly, it feels great to have the project done and ready to give to the streets. Its been a long journey and I'm happy about where I am right now.

WestCoastRydaz.com: It’s been known for years that you used to rap yourself, but most people never really had a chance to hear you before “Block’d Up.” What made you decide to get back into the booth for a whole mixtape?

BigFase100: The reason I decided to do it was simply that I put a lot in to a lot of artist now, and only got burned so I felt I couldn't burn myself. Also, with all due respect to my artist, I realize that I'm the biggest draw on my label and because of that I have to sell me in order to give them the best possible head start they can get.

WestCoastRydaz.com: That song and video itself gained a ton of attention, some positive and some negative. What was it like to see all the feedback and did it affect how you approached the new tape?

BigFase100: The responses positive or negative had no effect on the mixtape release. I'm my biggest critic... I liked "Block'd Up" ... so I dropped "Block'd Up". And I love the attention. I still need more views..so go check it out. [Ed. Note - click here to watch] Any pub is good pub so keep the negative and positive comments coming.

WestCoastRydaz.com Brazil Street Records is also a very talked about camp, last year you released your sister B-Fly’s mixtape to a lot of support. Shortly after that we found out she had been shot. How is she doing today and what’s next for her?

BigFase100: B-Fly bounced back like a soldier. I hate that it happened. She didn't deserve it. But she was back grinding days later, in the booth makin music. She ready to drop another bomb on the public. B-Fly - "Pink Presidents" mixtape dropping next after The Fly Way drops. She ready to claim her crown this year. 2009. Just keep payin attention.

WestCoastRydaz.com In addition to B-Fly’s project you’ve followed it up with this release and things seem to be picking up for you, talk a little about what else you have planned for the label. What’s the full roster of the label and what can we look forward to in 2009?

BigFase100: What I need is a situation! (laughs). But I aint waiting on the labels. I got a EP ready to drop. BigFase 100 -"Gone Green...Starring Bompton George." BFly has 200+ tracks... she got 2 LPs ready to go, Pink Presidents The Mixtape is coming soon. Greedy Da 554 Boy is working on his mixtape as we speak. Look for an album from him as well.We grindin. Lotto, Finness, The Lost Soulz Mean Team... Friday We ready to get it blockin' !

WestCoastRydaz.com The song we’re leaking today with the tape, “Great Expectations” speaks on your situation with your brother The Game. That’s obviously been a big issue for both camps and you’ve received some criticism for it from people. Did telling the rap world things from your side make you record the song or was it more a chance to directly send a message to your brother?

BigFase100: I'm jus doin what I'm supposed to do, this shit is written. Its my story. Its the real story. And I needed to get that out the way. He needs to hear it though, because I think he has began to believe all his own lies. So maybe this will serve as a wake up call. And I'm not sitting here wishing for him to come around. I gave up on that. Its just a subject that I had to touch on before I can move on.

WestCoastRydaz.com Are you open to ever fixing things with him and reuniting or is that something you’ve moved on from?

BigFase100: I'm my brothers keeper...until I see the reaper. I love dude. But he aint comin around. I doubt that. But the door is open and he knows that.

WestCoastRydaz.com You’ve had some public ups and downs since you’ve been doing things on the music side, with the label, managing artists, beefs, Game and more. How has all that affected your approach to what you do now?

BigFase100: Everything happens for a reason. I take it and smile. I'm only human so things do bother me. But overall I'm good. Especially now. I went through some real hard times but I'm here still. That's the main thing. I'm still here.

WestCoastRydaz.com As we mentioned, you’ve had to deal with a lot of criticism and trying times as BigFase100 the artist, yet you’ve stuck to the label. Considering what you’ve went through in your personal life before music, growing up in Compton with the trials that come from gang life and more, does it put your industry troubles into a different perspective?

BigFase100: Industry trouble is non existent compared to the life I have led. The BWS thing was a big set back though. I thought that my struggles were over when Jayceon got with Dr. Dre but they had just begun. It was all for something though, I'm going to make sure of that.

WestCoastRydaz.com Right. So what keeps you focused and moving forward despite the obstacles? Also, does public criticism from people who don’t know all the sides to the story ever bother you?

BigFase100: My kids keep me going. They are my motivation and my inspiration. And people who don't know all the sides? Fuck em. No one knows the truth except me and my brother. No one else was on the phone when he call me saying he had just signed to Aftermath. "We gonna be rich". That statement alone got me to put 110% into making sure he succeeded.

WestCoastRydaz.com Let’s talk about the state of rap in Compton. Brazil Street has a roster of talented artists, where do you feel you and your camp stand as far as a representation of what Compton has to offer?

BigFase100: We are the best that Compton has to offer that I know of. Everybody grinding but we had a big head start with what we did before. But every MC from Compton has my support. Crip, Blood or Piru. I fuck with mine!

WestCoastRydaz.com Aside from your camp, what do you find yourself listening to, both in general and West Coast music?

BigFase100: I fuck with everything that's blockin'. Aint too much West Coast on radio though. But I fuck with Bishop Lamont, Ya Boy, Jay Rock, I'm a real supporter of the up and coming West Coast but I still respect the ones who paved the way. And always will.

WestCoastRydaz.com The West has several artists signed to major labels at the moment and seemingly ready to make the next step to mainstream success, yet it also has plenty of drama and negativity that can stop its return to glory. Where do you see the West going in the next few years and what role do you hope to play in the eventual outcome?

BigFase100: If history repeats itself, its coming around again. And we got next. I'm tryna do what I been doin. I helped bring it back in 05. I tried to keep it going but shit got in the way... I'm still trying. No quit.

WestCoastRydaz.com Aside from WestCoastRydaz.com, where else can people tune in to hear the latest from you and your camp?

BigFase100: Check my new music page and these other ones:

WestCoastRydaz.com Okay, is there anything else you’d like to add? Any people you want to shout out or say to the fans and supporters?

BigFase100: Shout out to everybody that supports BigFase100 and the Brazil Street movement.
Big shout out to my dude Phat Rat. And a super shout out to my boy John "BBQ" Moss for blowing that "Great Expectations" better than anyone else can.
