« on: May 06, 2009, 09:11:23 AM »
Dr. Dre in the Studio: From Compton, Death Row, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, 50 Cent, The Game and Mad Money & The Life, Times and Aftermath of the Notorious Record Producer - Dr. Dr by Jake Brown (Paperback - Mar 1, 2007)
Dr. Dre: The Biography by Ronin Ro (Hardcover - Mar 16, 2007)
Rollin' with Dre: The Unauthorized Account: An Insider's Tale of the Rise, Fall, and Rebirth of West Coast Hip Hop by Bruce Williams and Donnell Alexander (Hardcover - Mar 25, 2008)
You Forgot About Dre: The Unauthorized Biography of Dr. Dre and Eminem - From N.W.A. to Slim Shady, a Tale of Gangsta Rap, Violence, and Hit Records by Kelly Kenyatta (Paperback - Jan 1, 2001)
Dr. Dre: A Biography (Greenwood Biographies) by John Borgmeyer and Holly Lang (Hardcover - Dec 30, 2006)
Dr. Dre (Hip Hop) (Hip-Hop) by Jim Graziano (Paperback - Jun 1, 2007)

Was just wondering if anyone's got or read these books & do any of them talk in detail about the situation with The Game?
Thats Rollin' with Dre one sounds interesting as that Bruce Williams cat says he rolled with Dre for 20 years & knows the inside shit on the feud with Eazy & the reconcilation before his death, the shit that went down with Death Row etc etc sounds very interesting

some of those have been discussed a few times on here before, search the forum  :)

anyway:

Dr.Dre in the studio: i wouldn't recommend it; it's a cheap ass book  :P
funny though, that the author quoted a lot of posts of dubcc poster mellowman & referred to him as Mel-Man  :D

Dr.Dre: The Biography-> i can definitely recommend this one! i was surprised how detailed this book was, even though it came from an outsider.

Rollin' with Dre: i can certainly recommend this one as well! a lot of interesting behind the scenes stories!

Rollin' with Dre & Dr.Dre - The Biography shed light on the situation around The Game.
but keep in mind that it remains unknown what exact deal was made, with Dre, aftermath & interscope, behind closed doors, during the beef with 50 cent.

Great thanks for your help & reply

I'd seen the Ronin Ro one spoken a bit about just never heard about the Rollin with Dre one until the other day when i searched on Amazon.
So basically it doesnt say much about the Game situation, i mean does it say why Dre dont work with Game no more?

it's mainly about Dre's family, so i don't really recommend it.
but if you're really interested in their background, then check it out.
it has some exclusive pictures by the way (Rollin' with Dre has pictures too, but better ones)

you're welcome  :)

well it talks about the beef & the forced makeup in public.
but from what i can remember, it doesn't really explain why Dre doesn't work with The Game anymore.

if you want to be completely sure, i suggest that you search the forum for interviews with Bruce Williams, as he's been interviewed about the book.
