1992-1996: The Years of a Legend
« on: December 06, 2002, 02:01:06 AM »
I had nothing to do last night. So I thought: guess what, I'll bump Doggystyle in my Cd player and smoke some hasjish. And everytime I listen that CD I get a incredible feeling of joy, and a don't-give- a-fuck mentality. I was listening to the beats and the incredible wordplay of Snoop Doggy Dogg through the whole CD. The Cd is like one big song of 50 min. The feeling you get; seeing yourself in a big car, cruising with some friends and a couple of chicks.

The best Hiphop Cd ever!!! It's like Legend van Bob Marley.  Snoop Doggy Dogg was in his younger years trully the best rapper of all time, and I'm not talking about the meaning of his lirics, but his ability of making wordplay art. And the beats of Dr Dre....incredible. And I know that beats in hiphop are often the most important aspect of a song, but imagine if 2pac or biggie, or anyone else was rapping over those beats. It wouldn't fit. It's Snoop Doggs wordplay which made most of this CD.

But Snoop Dogg in 2002: It wouldn't be fare to judge him by comparing him with 1994. He is much older nowand he is very rich. His style has changed, he's still very good, but not so good as in his younger years. I don't care, after giving me so much joy with Chronic and Doggystyle.

Thanx Snoop!!!

I know he doesn't know me, but I know his music and that's enough for me. And I've copped his new CD, and I like it, not as much as....., but who cares....

PS: He didn't even sell 200000 records the first week?? I know I bought it, SO I REALLY DON'T GIVE A FUCK!!

Cool.  I read all that man.  Those were the days.  That was the first cd I ever had.  I didn't have anything else to listen to, and I didn't need anything else.  I just bumped that album all the way up until Warren G's release in 94.  Peace.
