Man got damn you niggas are even mad at him for saying who his favorite rappers are?
'Oh I can't see him, I can't see God', YA'LL CAN'T SEE FUCKIN' AIR NEITHER!
Prove to me the wind. Show me the wind man. I want proof of that shit. Cuz I don't see it.
This guy doesn't know HIP HOP or lyrics. He left out MAJOR players (Other than the iconic 2pac) who were talking about more than Versace glasses. And Guru is a SIDE NOTE? Jesus. - The Roots- Gang Starr- Rakim- Mos Def- Big L- KRS-One- Immortal Technique- Jeru The Damaja- A Tribe Called Quest- EPMD- Big Pun- Big Daddy Kane- Talib Kwali - Common- Slick RickHELLOOOOO??? How do you miss these guys? They started HIP HOP (or contributed in a MAJOR noteworthy way). Now, you couldn't limit 2pac to a coast but if you wanna get into westcoast gangsta rap (a facet of hip hop), that's another topic. Or best rappers of all time. Speaking of which, Jay-Z is way too overrated. If 2pac didn't pass, his career would've never taken off like it did. The collapse of Deathrow and the west, along with BIG passing really worked out for him. Game is high. And when speaking of Hip Hop, you cannot mention it without including DJ PREMIER! Where are your manners Game? Given: Ice Cube is the SHIT, so is Snoop (the old one), DMX is dope, and Nas is a worthy contender. But what about these other people? We're talking HIP HOP here. I don't think you can reduce HIP HOP to 5 people. It was really a collaborative effort on the behalf of many. And, HIP HOP wasn't about bentley's, jewelry, and bitches like it has been centered around today. Today its all about manipulation and promoting brands. Yet these same people still run around calling themselves HIP HOP artists. What a disgrace to something so original. The message has truly been lost and those who try and resurrect it (most recently DMX followed by his character assassination ever since speaking out about industry corruption) are not given deals, not marketed or promoted and shelved with gag orders.
