@Ted - I don't mean JUST because it was all on the road, that's just additional "wow"; it's the teams they beat. In the last ten years the three best teams in the NFL have been the Pats, Colts & Steelers.

@Hack & Shallow - One of you is saying the '07 Giants because you're a big Giants fan & the other one is saying them because them beating the undefeated Patriots will go down as a greater day than your wedding & birth of children. That road in the NFC wasn't terrible at all. The Bucs? Right there the Jets road is better. The Cowboys then might beat the 2010 Colts, but not the Pats, Steelers or Packers & this years Packers team is better then it was then.

The only real "wow, that's amazing" win was the win against the Pats.

But the 01 Pats was pretty awesome.

if that happens it would be a really impressive run

Good wording. It is a big "if". I'm just being optimistic after hearing we had "no chance".

You're wrong. The Packers win the way it happened was what really impressed me first. But still I didn't expect them to do anything against the Pats. The Jets beat a shit Colts team an over rated Pats team, and they've already beaten Pit and held the Pack to 9 points. These aren't really underdog wins. The Giants lost both games to the Cowboys in the season, and both the Cowboys and the Packers were 13-3 at home adn heavy favourites to win the whole thing. These Pats were heavy favourites yes, but the Colts were not, and Pit is an up and down team all year. If they beat the Packers it'l ll be a wildcard team, and if they beat the Bears it'll be nothing special. The best thing that can happen in these playoffs storywise, the year Favre retires for good, is for Rodgers the cancer hating God, to perfect passer rating his way to Lombardi.

I hope they play the Jets and he Al Bundys those cock suckers.

If you gambling on any of these games, there isn't a doubt in my mind you'd pick the other team lol. It's easy to say "I woulda taken the Jets" when there are zero dollars on it.

If somebody forced me to bet $500 dollars on this weekends game, I wouldn't obviously just be like "Oh, the Jets, easy".

Anyway, I've heard the 01 Pats, that's about it.

2005 Steelers

Going into week 14 they were 7-5, and they won 8 must win games in a row (6 outside Heinz Field) to win the Super Bowl.  And they were 7-0-1 ATS in those eight games.

I pick the Colts gambling because I don't want to win money if Peyton loses. The same reason I pick the Bills. And the reason I pick against the Pats is because no money will make me happy if Brady winning is the reason I got paid. But personal feelings aside if I had to pick with a lot of money involved I would have picked the Jets to win. Don't believe me if you don't want to.

And 07 Giants were the biggest underdog since the 68 Jets. These Jets are barely underdogs, since they haven't beat any good team they haven't already beaten.

Oh and according to NFL.com Brady was playing with a busted leg and the flu, so your win doesn't count.

Jesus, they'll try anything to salvage his undeserved MVP award. Manning never won an SB in his 4 MVP years but he was never out-quarterbacked in his loss. NO DREW BREES DID NOT OUTPLAY MANNING, I DON'T CARE WHAT THE STATS SAY!. Brady simply did not play as well as Mark Shitchez, and that alone should mean they should vote for someone else. Where as no one can say Sanchez play even near the same level Peyton did in the Colts loss. What I'm saying is, and I love hypothetical everything, that if Brady played as good as Sanchez the Pats would have won. If Manning played as good as Sanchez the Colts would have lost by 14 points.

Who'd they play in the playoffs though? You're looking at before the playoffs. Shallow is ignoring the "road" to it & focusing in on one game in the Superbowl.

Bengals, Colts, Broncos, SEAHAWKS?

The Colts were the only impressive victory in the bunch. That Steelers team was an underachieving team that on paper was one of the best teams in the NFL.

How am I ignoring the road. The Giants were on "the road" in back to back weeks against two 13-3 teams and the Giants were 10-6. The Cowboys beat them twice that year and the Packers had an MVP caliber year from Favre. The Giants beat the Pack in a blizzard. Beating Favre in blizzard after he had the year he had is a lot bigger than beating Manning with no WRs. And the Jets split with the Pats. They showed that they can beat them. The Cowboys had walloped the Giants twice already. And those Bucs healthy weren't any worse than the current depleted Colts. Stop ignoring facts. It was a 10-6 team that none saw going past the divisional, and no one saw getting through Green Bay, and less than no one saw holding the the highest scoring offense in history to 2 scores.

The new era of the Cowboys, the retirement of Brett Favre as the greatest of all time, and the perfect season and greatest team of all time were all possible when January started in 2008. The Giants prevented history; 3 times. The Jets ain't done shit yet but barely beat a shitty Colts team and showed the world how good Brady really is, when I've been saying it for years.

Just hurry up and lose this week so this thread can be over. Packers/Steelers is the best bet for ratings anyway.

Like I said, today's Pats, Steelers & Packers would beat the 07 Packers & Cowboys.

It was a great run, but NO WAY could the 07 Bucs beat the 10 Colts; c'mon man.

If all your "if's" & "shoulda-coulda-woulda's" had happened in the Colts game & "this guy did this" & "that guy did that" & the Colts won 30-17, you would be in another thread today saying "Well, it shows how great Peyton is. You can't count that guy out of games. It doesn't matter whose around him, that guy is amazing. They stand a pretty good chance of beating the Pats next week".

But that didn't happen so now the "Colts are terrible. Didn't deserve to make the playoffs". People were saying we were the second worst team to the Seahawks to make the playoffs, now all of the sudden we're favorites to win it all lmao.

Lets just act like today is the end of Week 17 & people weren't talking crazy because we know what happened. The Jets were going to be on the road until the Superbowl and face Peyton (at home), the Pats (at home), the Steelers (at home) & then face the Packers in the Superbowl.

In terms of baseball, it's like a team playing, the Giants, then the Yankees, then the Redsox & then beat the Phillies in the WS. Playing the three best teams in the last decade who aren't miserably different to their championship years.

& don't say "Brady" because you're in here every single day saying "Brady is part of a system that is controlled by Bill, the Pats AS A TEAM are really good, but Brady AS A QB sucks". Now they lose & suddenly it's all on Brady lol. Peyton loses & it's the coaching & the defense & the special teams, the Pats blame Brady 110% though lol.

give Manning a chance to play 10 years with Bill Belichick + 3+ years with Randy Moss and watch him win 5 rings

Who are you kidding? What's so much better about these Pats, Steelers, and Packers than those Cowboys and Packers? Just because you feel it?

Ad that quote about Manning stands even in the loss. He won the game. The kick off and defense lost it. And yes the NE system lost the game, but it lost not so much because WRs weren't getting open, as much as Brady couldn't make a tighter throw. A real top 10 QB all time, argued in the top 3 by many shouldn't have that problem. I'm not saying it's Brady's fault. I'm just using this to tell you what the difference is between a great QB and an all time Great like Manning.

The Jets beat the Steelers this weekend & then go on to beat the Packers in the Super Bowl.

Colts
Pats
Steelers
Packers

All on the road.

Would that be, by far, the most impressive Super Bowl run ever?

If the Packers go on to beat the Steelers in the Superbowl...theirs would be more impressive.

Eagles
Falcons
Bears
Steelers

They would have went through 4 division champs

Ehh, I guess it just doesn't seem as good to me because I had the Packers going to the Superbowl before they even clinched a playoff birth lol.

Yeah, before the season I had Packers vs Patriots...so I still have a chance to be half right!
