Doc Rivers has proven himself to be a great motivator, and a players coach who doesn't get walked over by his players.  Overrated? Maybe a little, but then, who has won without great players?

Name me a championship team that didn't have amazing talent.

& 7, when I say he's not a good coach, I mean in comparison to other coaches at the elite NBA level. Tommy Tibs might not ever win a ring in Chicago, but I'd take him ANY DAY over Doc Rivers. But on the flip, to win for one season, I'd take the Celtics lineup ANY DAY over Chicago's.

lol @ this motivator shit. Is that just some intangible excuse to give coaches credit?

Detroit Pistons. Much like the Bulls this year minus Derrick Rose.

Again to reference the Lakers, they were not winning shit with Del Harris, did not buy into the system. Chicago didnt win shit with Doug Collins, won 6 with Phil Jackson. Coincidence, I think not. If you don't buy into a coach's strategy or are not motivated by he or she, why listen to them? Why play hard? Yeah on my job for example I dont need my manager to motivate me to do my work but I know this, when a manager does motivate and push me to do my best I will go that extra mile for them and a company. And in sports the extra mile is the difference sometimes between playoffs or not or even winning a championship. Case in point= Detroit Pistons this year.

lol, all five of those guys on the Pistons were in the all-star game, on the floor at the same time for five minutes.

I can't think of a team that's ever done that.

& yeah, I'd be intimidated of Phil Jackson too if I was a young Kobe. Zen-Master just won six rings with the greatest player ever.

While we're talking about the Pistons, where is Flip Saunders now? lol.

& getting back to Doc Rivers. Like I said, he won like 24 games one season. Where was this magical system? It's like Doc Rivers came up with it overnight when he had arguably the best Power Forward ever, the best pure shooter ever & realized his PG was good enough to average a triple-double in the playoffs lol.

There's better and worse coaches for certain situations. A coach might be horrible with a bad team, whereas he wins a title with a great one. Another coach might choke the title away with a great one or have his hall of fame players quit on him, whereas he might lead a bad team to 40 wins and the playoffs due to motivation and a system that specializes in regular season wins.

What we share or not I will ignore
And I won't waste my time fitting in
Cause I don't think contrast is a sin
No, it's not a sin

True but indvidually on other teams they did not do half the stuff they did with Larry Brown in Detroit.
