He was one of the people interviewed a few times for the Welcome to Death Row documentary.  I'm not sure what he recorded though, but it couldn't have been a lot of material.  My guess is that he started working with Death Row around 1994 or 1995 and was likely one of the artists who Suge signed without Dre's input, as they were often Bloods from around the way.  I don't know if Pretty Ricky was in Vegas the night of the shooting (which is possible, considering Suge's entourage), but at the very least he was at the hospital afterward.

Great interviews Jmix, but a lot of imes you're asking questions that these people just don't know. Mosley was a producer that did some tracks for Pac, he didn't know 2Pac like that.

For Mosley to say 2Pac yelling "MOB" on tracks is a Bay Area reference, he's out of his mind. In an interview Pac is asked "what does the MOB tattoo on your arm mean" and he says and I quote "money organization and business" - ask anyone from Compton and they'll tell you that's the acronym for MOB Piru. It's also pretty synonymous with "money over bitches, another reference Pac yelled out frequently.

Notice that he never yelled these references prior to being on Death Row. I've said this numerous numerous numerous times.

jMix, go interview Wack Deuce from the Outlawz, or one of the known Death Row gang members on payroll and ask them if Pac was a blood.

 i think mike knows very well, but a certain section of pac people refuse to admit. mike is a street guy, though.. and he knows. i asked him because being from the bay.. he knows. i just wanted to see if he would say it.. i cannot remember an oakland/bay area rapper who has admitted it.

I think its been proven again and again by listening to these interviews that Pac was veering toward the gang affiliated side toward the end of his life as opposed to the gang neutral mind state he had before DR.

One of them mentioned how he went out of his way with the red clothing including rocking some football hats that usually don't come in red, those feather hats, red jerseys.

The older (mindstate and age) folk at DR just came to the studio, did their job and left. The young rowdy, lets get blunted and drunk and have a party as we hoo ride living the untouchable lifestyle folks are the ones that will tell you what Pac was really about as they saw him out of business hours.

Fruit Town Pirus were also workin for Death Row and it seemed that when Suge got out of prison Keita Rock was his bodyguard so Rollin 60 were involved too

(yall forget about syke?)  but as for the rolling 60s oh yeah.. the relationship between them and suge is sketchy.. they are really cool until before the 2pac shooting, because it was the rolling 60's that had the og bounty on dr chains.. didnt quik see a beatdown of one at a show? i think so..but of course,  then they protected suge in prison but at first it was shaky.. something brews with that connect.

I can believe that though, contrary to all of the stories about how much power Suge had on the streets while running Death Row.  A relative of mine who was locked up from 1994-1999 for an attempted murder charge was at the same prison as Suge at some point in 1997, though that relative got moved around frequently since he was a ranking gang member, so it could've been Corcoran or a number of other correctional facitilies.  I remember I asked him once (though I don't remember if it was when I visited him when he was still locked up or if it was after he got released) if he ever ran into Suge.  He said they had never been face-to-face, but he did say that he remembered seeing Suge get socked in the head and knocked down once by someone.

So Suge was no punk, but he definitely had his share of squabbles in prison.

Corcoran. yep that is the one. i think personally [not confirmed, opinion] that after the 'attempts' perhaps a payment was made. because when nick broomfield interviewed suge. he was smoking a cuban. in the joint. im just saying.  I have always thought you were knowledgeable, but that is what I have been told and believe. it makes alot of sense though. money heals all wounds, does it not?

For sure, enough money will get you want you want/need.  Plus at the time, Suge had access to enough money to make any problem on that level go away, and it was probably easier for him to just pay some people off than to fight off people who wanted to earn some stripes.  Yeah, Suge is a big guy, but he's physically a big target.  It wouldn't be hard to stab him, with all of the crazy shit you can make shanks out of... random pieces of metal and newspapers, toothbrushes, even deodorant or plastic wrap.  Suge can scrap and can take a punch, and while he was always hood I don't think he had that prison mentality.

But I have a feeling that Nick Broomfield snuck that cigar to Suge (likely at Suge's own request) to have in front of the camera to look fancy despite the backdrop.  Even though they get searched, it's probably not that difficult when the facility is letting you in with recording equipment.  Plus they probably are a little lenient in situations like that, especially when the interviewee is well-known, provided that you're not giving them anything that is illegal or dangerous.  I highly doubt that Suge was puffing on Cubans on a regular basis behind bars, as it's way harder to smuggle a cigar in (at least not without fucking it up) than a small stash of drugs, unless you are paying off a number of correctional officers, which is a waste of money all for the sake of a few cigars.
