my suggestion is to go to mom and pop stores or stores with used cd's for sale. today I picked up 6 west coast related (some VERY hard to find) cd's for $20. here's what I picked up:

AMG "Ballin outta control" $1
Ice Cube "Kill at will" EP $4
Reel Tight "Back to the Reel" (warren G's R&B group from his G-Funk Label) $5
Big Hutch "Executive Decisions" $3
TWDY "Lead the way" $4

when I saw it. also almost bought Domino's self titled cd, but didn't have enough $ on me to buy it.

moral of the story....if you're lookin for rare/out-of-print cd's, check mom and pop stores or a used cd store

damn can't believe you got funk upon a rhyme for only $3. and yeah u shoulda bought domino's cd, it is very good, probably an 8/10 and better than twdy and hutch's album.

i should have. however I had $20 on me and Domino's cd would have cost me $10. I'm feelin Hutch's cd though. and yea, I'm shocked beyond belief that I found it. shit, everywhere online it's like $65+ to buy a copy and I scooped it up for $3. That's why I like buying used cd's, because they play really well, and are cheaper than buying brand new cd's.

Damn, you found all those in ONE DAY? I find bargains here and there for some rare out-of-print CD's, but that's a lotta good finds in one day....Those are good places to look for rare CD's. That's where I get a lot of them.

damn congrats on finding that kokane cd for that price

i got my copy of that cd on half.com for 5 bucks, u win lol lol

i found most of my rare cd's in the wherehouse used section, too bad most of them closed

Yeah i used to love living in brighton cos we had like 30 record stores only maybe 8-10 of them were chains...the rest were underground specialists and the cheapest / most reliable stores around....cos they have to keep up with competition from the major cd retailers...

even better are some of the independant stores linked to the net...less hastle,
music at the click of a button (and money in the bank)
