I think it's still going thru the courts, but one thing that happened for sure is the head of the Toronto Police announced that in the mean time they would not charge you if you had under a certain amount on you but keep a record of it.

Most of the policemen don't give a shit anyways here if you have a small amount on you, they'll just confiscate it.
