That's bull. Crooked I signed to Deathrow with big hopes. You know Suge told him everything he wanted to hear, of course he was gonna sign. I don't think it's anyone's fault if their album gets pushed back. That's like saying it's Knoc, Rakim, King Tee and Hittman's fault that their albums never came out. Knoc has so many songs ready, but Elektra is fucking up. Ra probably had some great material, but Dre held it back. Same with Hitt and King Tee. Matter of fact, we know Hitt and Tipsy had albums ready to drop, who's fault is that? Dre. What's Dre? The CEO. Same goes for Icon and Suge.

of course crook had high hopes from signing to death row, but dude he signed after all kinds of drama and shit went down there, and suge was in prison at the time.  It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that problems may very well arise.  Just about everyone who was originally signed left, except for daz.  Pac just got killed, suge got locked up supposed to be for 9 years, and hella bad shit was surfacing from deathrow.  I sure hope crook didn't expect it to be a cakewalk.

You know, I've been a Crook fan for the longest, since the first track I heard of him (Feels So Good). I've been kinda down on him lately, probably after his sub-standard work on the Dysfunktional Fam OST.

BUT I just gave his mixtape a proper listen for the first time, and even though its far from his best, he is still spittin some shit. If you ignore the garrrrrrbage beats and the weeeaak as fuck hooks and just listen to his verses, its clear he hasnt actually lost any steps.

I think the direction he should take is to combine the backpacker and the gangsta styles. Kinda like Xzibit tried to do with Restless but Crook will have better standing since he has more street credibility. If he really wants to unite and bring back the West thats what he'll have to do, and to be honest i think hes more than capable.

As for beats? I dont know, not G-Funk, not dull backpacker beats, something new. Along the lines of the Uh Oh beat, that suited him perfect.

Crooked I needs to hook back up with Tha Pound, Soopafly, Daz, Nate Dogg, all of them muthaphukkaz on his shit. If Soopafly produced like he did on Dat Whoopty Whoop, it could be a westcoast Hip-Hop banger fo' Shizzy. Fuck Death Row, shit, Trey Deee left Snoop and still ain't fuckin' with Tha Row, they ain't got shit on the game. Or Crooked could get with Baby Reed, which would be hot, Crooked, Jayo, Shade Sheist, work with L.A. Confidental. But fuck Death Row, they been promise to put out Crooked, and I ain't seen shit but two average singles.
Why would he go with the Dogg Pound? They don't drop shit either. When DPG drops something, it's garbage. The last tight DPG product was Dillinger and Young Gotti. I think Icon needs to say fuck all these washed up gangsta acts and just make some straight up Hip Hop. He doesn't need to be busting over some lame ass played out G-Funk. He needs some hardcore Hip Hop beats. Something from King Tech, Muggs, Alchemist, DJ Khalil etc. Those are the style of beats that best fit him and his style.

U must not of heard Daz's album half the album was bangin, the rest were decent & a few sucked

Believe it or not it was interescope that didnt wanna release Hitts or Rakims. King Tee's was all ready to come out but The Source & other hip hop mags shitted on it so he pulled it like last minute, shame coz i got most of the songs that were suposed to be on the album (the one king tee released missed a few songs) & to be honest the shits classic man i love The Chron, talk about the bomb say what coz Dr.Dre mixed with that shit that dont fail

Ohh ok, i just saw the differents names of the songs

Unfortunately I think you are wrong with Thats Drama, as that also was not on the version released last year. So Thats Drama & Got It Locked were missing (at least on the version i have)
