Mike Elizondo sighting...
« on: February 27, 2004, 03:29:49 PM »
Dre's Bass Player... just posted over at Brian Wilson's website on his webpage, talking about how he was glad to see Brian's "SMiLE" masterpiece finally come out.  I told him to play the album for Dre, and tell him to make something similar, LOL....

Word. I know how Dre doesn't wanna hear any other music to influence the creation of Detox but i think he should listen to SMiLE and War of The Worlds (by Jeff Wayne) to help influence it's creation.
Charlie, lost his life right in front of the party...

What style of music are those songs? Are they old or what?

Brian Wilson was a member of the Beach Boys (so I think his music is kinda similar to that, I'm not sure though...). By the way, he's coming to my country, Belgium, March 11th ;)

You'd be surprised, there's really no way to describe "SMiLE" which we're talking about Dre should listen to... it's not your typical type of music.  It's almost like a modern Symphony with Voices and orchestra, and drums, guitars, pianos.  Think of a cross between The Beatles, Beethoven, and a Choir.
