Let's go back to 1992. Who was the most feared and influential figure in rap? Suge Knight. Everyone feared him and wanted to be down. Now let's look at the current situation. Suge is an outcast, not invited to award shows, and no artist are trying to sign with Tha Row. Their office was repossesed by the IRS and no new talent or artists have been signed that have gone gold or platinum. Puff Daddy was a foe of Suge and look at Diddy now, he is a major celebrity, has his own clothes line, mtv show and is everywhere. Snoop Dogg is a star, has successive platinum albums, on tv and in movies. Dr Dre is considered to be the best rap producer, has a very successful label and has discovered new talent. Aftermath is the best selling rap label out t here now and everyone from Gwen Stefani to Jo Jo (teen singer) wanna work with Dre. All of these cats are successful and living large, while Suge has to hide his possessions and can't do anything in the music business. So, all of you cats who wanted to be Deathrow Inmates, look at how things changed in 10 years. I would have rather have been clowned by Deathrow in the early 90s like Bad Boy was and turn into a major success 10 years later while Tha Row is a laughing stock in the rap industry. Funny how things change!
