Very good player, he showed his class at Brum last season & he would have again this season if not for injury

Would be that 20 goal a season player that Everton need

Not sure if he's a 20 goal a season striker in the Premiership, but he's classy player. Beattie and Forsell looks like a good partnership to me.

Duncan Ferguson can stay at home and kick the shit out of gypsies.

Yer, big man, little man partnership.  Exactly what Everton need.

I wish we would try to sign a decent center half though.  We are gunna struggle next season because Wier is like 35, yobo hasn't proved he can be a class center half yet and Stubbs looks set to leave.  We need another central defender.

At one time you were praising Yobo and classing him as been of the best centre halves in the world.

Everton sure need another defender, defence seemed to collapse in the last few weeks of the season, looks like Arteta won't be staying on either,

Everton have failed to reach agreement with Spanish star Mikel Arteta.

The former Rangers midfielder joined The Toffees on loan in January from Real Sociedad.

Arteta took a little while to settle, but he worked his way into the side and ended up playing a big role in Everton claiming fourth spot in The Premiership.

David Moyes has never hidden his desire to keep Arteta and deal worth up to €4 million was in place.

However, talks with Arteta's representatives have so far failed to reach a successful conclusion - although there is still some hope a deal will be struck.

Arteta knows he has little future at The Anoeta and he is very keen to move to Goodison Park.

While talks with Arteta are likely to continue - Everton are continuing to home on their other transfer targets including Chelsea duo Scott Parker and Mikael Forssell and Ryan Taylor of Tranmere.

did anyone hear the story of a guy at Sociedad when Arteta joined Everton?

i think it might have been Karpin

they asked what he thought about Arteta moving and he was like "Who?....i don't even know who this guy is...Has he played for us?"  lmao

i found it amusing
