I heard on a local radio show here in L.A that the Lakers may trade the 10th pick ,butler & c.atkins for the 3rd pick & ruben paaterson

Hoopsworld.com has learned that the Los Angeles Lakers and Charlotte Bobcats may have agreed to swap picks in the upcoming NBA Draft. The Lakers are rumored to get the 5th pick and possibly the 13th. The Bobcats would get the tenth pick in return. Any players involved in the deal have not been mentioned though whispers are that Caron Butler and Brian Cook may be part of the "alleged" deal.

The PR departments of both the Lakers and Bobcats deny that any deal is pending.

Please note: This is in the rumor stage - do not take it as a certainty.

That's a pretty good trade for both. But not excellent. I mean Lakers will get a good defender in Patterson and a better playmaker than Atkins using their #3 draft pick. But Butler is a good player, i'd rather see him in L.A., next season.

Most aren't...Just like this one...Why would they trade Butler, one of their only star caliber players, for a fuckin' draft pick?...And bitchass "Kobe-stopper" on the Lakers again? I don't think so...PeACe
