With all this chagning of giving albums better ratings, is the Source going to grow some testicles and LOWER the rating of some albums?

I agree with most thats been said, but I find it SOOOOOO fucking unbelievable that Doggystyle was not given 5 mics first time around, that right there proves that the source should think about getting new reviewing staff, someone who actually takes the time to listen to the album, rather than giving a quick judgement on what coast they come from.

I think that if you take one of the 'O's' out of 'Good' it's 'God', if you add a 'D' to 'Evil' it's the 'Devil'. I think some cool motherfucker sat down a long time ago and said 'let's figure out a way to control motherfuckers'.

I don't really see how All Eyes On Me is a Classic album this was not pacs best work and is nothing compared to Me Against the world. I felt RU still down was a better album but thats just me.

Anyone don't think "2001" is classic, knows what to eat. >:( >:(
This proves that the Source only listens to what the mainstream says, instead od doing unbiased reviews. If they give Snoop 1 mic., then I'm probably RUNNING to the shop to get it. Their opinion will never again mean SHIT:
>:(

All Eyez On Me is an UNARGUABLE classic...........E.1999 Eternal is too, and I have no idea why The Source, for the SECOND TIME, failed to recognize it as one......

I think this was a good move by The Source.  These albums get it now becasue they have stood the test of time.  They might've slipped up the first time, but at least they're trying to correct their fuck ups.  I never thought I would see the day I agree with something The SOurce did.  I guess this is kind of an apology becasue these albums are still considered masterpieces to this day.

I'm glad to see they recognized PAc's work and also gave Reasonable Doubt the mic rating it deserved too.

Now, if they could only come to the realization that Benzino's album isn't going to puch any type of decent sells no matter how many times they put adds into the paper for it.  :)

My opinions... no one elses.

jay-z- reasonable doubt  (a good album, Jay-Z's best. Who said it ain't 5 mics. I liked it, and if it wasn't for Brooklyn's Finest, I might have been a Jay-Z fan)

fugees-the score  (I never thought so, but everyone else can't be wrong, just me, good choise I think)

2pac- me against the world  (Well shit, 2Pac at his fucken best, no questions.  million sold without Death Row, you damn right it's a classic)

2pac- all eyez on me  (A new 'Pac, a more commercial album, but it's still 'Pac. I declaired 'Pac the greatest ever after this album. 2 disc of sloid shit)

mobb deep- the infamous  (Good album from beginning to end. Everyone I know bumped this, even with 'Pac's disses. Now that has to be some good eastcoast shit.)

raekwon- only built 4 cuban linx  (Never made waves, so I never picked it up)

scarface- the diary  (OH SHIT!!!! Scarface was fucking tight as hell in this album, I Never Seen A Man Cry Until I See A Man Die... That was the fucken shit)

snoop dogg- doggystyle  (How was this not 5 mics. What not enough hype lived up to on these album. Classic example of eastcoast hating)

wu-tang clan- enter the wu-tang 36 chambers  (Got mixed reactions at the time, but after a while, it grew on people, and I always like this CD, I'm bump it tomorrow morning now)

the notorious big- ready to die  (Surpise the hell out of me it wasn't a 5 mic classic then. Never really got into the album, but the whole eastcoast fell in love with Biggie, and o couple of westcoast folks. Well Biggie got what he deserved for this album, to bad he ain't here to see it.)

ice cube- death certificate  (Better than AmeriKKKa'z Most Wanted. How could it not be... oh that's right, it was produced it the west this time as oppose to AmeriKKKa'z Most. I see, hating muthaphukkaz, it's about time.)

geto boys- grip it! on that other level  (Well shit, the Source slept on this classic, but it's cool, I did too until like '97, so I ain't tripping.)

main source- breakin atoms  (Same as Raekwon, I'm have to listen now.)
dr dre- the chronic  (OK, I not going to even start)

dr dre- dr dre 2001  (OK, I not going to even start)

run-dmc- run-dmc  (Was the Source even around to rank this. I thought the Source started in 1988 released  1984)

ll cool j- radio  (Was the Source even around to rank this. I thought the Source started in 1988, released  1986)

beastie boys- licensed to ill  (Was the Source even around to rank this. I thought the Source started in 1988 released  1986)

run-dmc- raising hell  (Was the Source even around to rank this. I thought the Source started in 1988, released  1986)

boogie down productions- criminal minded  (I thought it was a 5 mic classic already)

eric b and rakim- paid in full  (I know it's a 5 mic classic already)

boogie down productions- by all means necessary  (Why wasn't this a 5 mic classic already)

public enemy- it takes a nation of millions to hold us back  (Why wasn't this a 5 mic classic already, everyone used to shout... FIGHT THE POWER)

big daddy kane-long live the kane  (OK, if anyone deserves 5 mics, it's Kane... why was this not a 5 mic classic already.)

ultramagnetic mc's- critical beatdown  Ain't heard it yet, got to now)

jungle brothers-straight out the jungle  (Ain't hear it yet, got to now)

epmd- strictly buisiness  (Surprise at this one too... wow)

slick rick- the great adventures of slick rick  (Wasn't it a classic, I thought so)

the doc- no one can do it better  (Better make this a classic. the Doc and the Doctor, I can get corny on this shit)

nwa-straight outta compton  (The foundation of west coast hip-hop, it's a fuckin' classic, but what about efil4zaggin)
