now that I've listened to both, I like the CD version better

without that sample is makes the beat much darker and sets the mood of the track better

not trying to be ignorant, but anyone that thinks the albums version is better has really, really, really, bad taste.  WTF are you thinking.  The unreleased version is 500x better

but what's all that different about it?  I could understand if they were completely different like remixes

the difference is the sample and DeBarge.... and I guess, kinda speaking for others as well, you either like it with the sample or not

like I said, without the sample it's more deep sounding and more serious like

the only thing I like more from the OG is the bassline... wish that was on the CD version.... both good tho, don't get me wrong

Its all opinions but the track sounds very boring without the sample, the hook sounds so lame with the dude harmonizing over the beat.  The unreleased version has the sample that makes the beat a 100 times better and the singing in the hook is amazing, way better than the guy that humms over the beat in the other version. I am shocked anyone prefers the album version.

I doubt it was a sample issue, both use the same drums as the Paul Simon song.
