Snoop's Real Name

My friend and I have a bet on what is up with Snoop's name.  I say he was born Cordozar and then his mom or someone else changed it to Calvin later.  My friend swears he was born Calvin.  We think we are both right?
What's tha damn dzzl?

His real name is Cordozar Broadus.  He says in his Auto Biography that he took on the name calvin because it was easier to say then Cordozar.
