kobe went 42-40 imo not the lakers

and that's his big problem. he has to be able to only take like 16 shots and still win. you can't win deep in the playoffs with a one-man show.

Yea...His biggest problem is that he doesn't have an experienced team working with him. That's FAR from his fault though...And I dunno how far your memory goes back, but the Lakers were winning with Kobe playing the distributor in the first half of the season.

^^Kobe can't lead a team to success? Where's your proof...Put Kobe in place of a Dirk or a Duncan, and that team is FOR SURE champions. Kobe's a natural born leader, homie, that's why Shaq couldn't handle him... Kobe is just as hard a worker as Jordan was, if not harder. Kobe is KNOWN for his intense work ethic. And how does punching Steve Kerr in practice make Jordan a "better team player"? LOL.

It shows how intense Jordan was, even in practice.  Most players (like Iverson) try to find ways to get out of practice.

I do agree that if Kobe was in place of Dirk or Duncan they would win the championship for sure.  But I don't think Kobe would have won the championships if he had been in Jordan's place in the 90's

And that's when I started to get respect for Kobe. But he went back to that 50-points-a-game-crap.  :D

And don't tell me that he HAS to score like that to take the W. Cause if that's the case, it IS a problem... no matter if it's his fault or not.

Are you serious? If Kobe was in place of Jordan and got the same ref treatment as Jordan did in those days, there is NO WAY that team wouldn't have been champions...PeACe

Yea, but he started doing that when there was no choice left...When all our key players were falling to injury and nobody wanted the responsibilty of being a scorer...Kobe took matters into his own hands and helped the situation. Jordan used to do this ALL THE TIME...PeACe

He's a great scorer, among at least the top 10-15 ever.
Name 10 players better at scoring then Kobe Bryant.

Shaq averaged more than 21 shots per game in the 3peat run. And he had Kobe as a teammate, and Horry, Fox, Fisher, Harper, Shaw, etc..
And you want Kobe (without a co-star like Shaq in his team and with Odom who isn't exactly a scorer) to win games by shooting "just" 16x per game? ::)
Who's the last one you've seen winning titles with that average of shots?

Fact: Kobe is the best assist-man of the Lakers (Jordan wasn't).
Fact: Kobe is in the top5 assists-men of the League between (real) SG's.

The only difference is that he can score BETTER than the other players cause he's BETTER than the other players. Get it.

It IS a pb ... Kobe had to do that... scored 60 against Memphis , Lakers won by 4... scored 65 against Portland , Lakers won in OT.. the only blowout when he scored 50+ was against Utah early in the season... the big pb is we can't win , when we don't defend at all and other players can't score, without Kobe scoring 50+ pts..

It's not that simple. If you think Dirk wasn't able to score a little more this season than he actually did I don't know what to say to you.
Again I'm not saying Kobe sucks cock, I'm just saying you don't win championships with a single player dominating the offense that much.

Oh man, but the Lakers aren't ready to win a title yet. So what are we talking about anyway?

Try telling that to Jordan. :D
