Bone Thugs-N-Harmony will take the No. 2 spot on this week’s Top 200 chart with their latest release, Strength & Loyalty, which moved 119,000 copies in its first week in stores. The Ohio based trio missed the No. 1 spot by just over 25,000 copies, losing out to Canadian crooner Michael Bublé, who moved up from No. 2 to claim the top spot. Strength & Loyalty marks Bone’s first Top 10 LP since 2000’s BTNHResurrection, which also debuted at No. 2. Elsewhere on the charts this week we see Duke Da God’s latest compilation project, Dipset: More Than Music Vol 2, land at No. 26 with just over 23,000 copies sold. Indie rapper Sage Francis will also chart at No. 96 with his latest, Human The Death Dance, which moved about 8,700 units. Also landing in the Top 200 this week is Houston mainstay Z-Ro with his new LP, Power, which will land at No. 197 with just under 5,000 discs sold.

119,000K! Damn, those are some good numbers for a rap album nowadays. It shows how solid fan base Bone Thugs have although the affect of Akon's appearance on their first single can not be underrated. To avoid high sales drop in the next week's Soundscan, their next single should be Lil' L.O.V.E. featuring both media bitches Mariah Carey and Bow Wow.

119,000 is cool, but that means it probably won't hit gold depending on the following weeks. I see it stopping around 350,000 which to me is pretty much the new gold

In all honesty, I would have expected better.  I realize Bone's been away for a long time, but the "Greatest Hits" album from 2 years ago sold almost 2 million, the Koch album "Thug Stories" did 40K its first week with just about no promotion whatsoever, Krayzie was on Cham's "Ridin", and "I Tried" hit #7 on the charts (admittedly, Akon's hook probably had a lot to do with that).  Somehow, I expected that to add up to a lot more in first-week sales, but then again, maybe this album has a high chart life, I dunno.  We'll have to see.

That IS their next single.  It was announced weeks ago.

Yeah, Lil Love is their next single. They have better tracks on the LP but its Interscope were talking about.

If anyone needs a promo, pm me.

Bone has ALWAYS followed the criteria of mainstream music.  They started out making what were essentially G-Funk albums ("Creepin On Ah Come Up" and "E. 1999 Eternal").  Now they've taken on a more urban flavor, but they're still fairly thugged-out to this day, and I think it fits with their gospel-influenced harmony.

Do have to agree with that, they have always staid true to the streets, even though they drop R & B records they have always been singing. As far as "G-Funk" goes, maybe on COACU, but East 1999 was there own style with a little of that moog sound in the music.
