Police Officer Mistakenly Shoots Daughter

STRATFORD, Conn. — An off-duty police officer shot and wounded his 18-year-old daughter after he mistook her for an intruder in their Connecticut home.

Stratford police say the teen had apparently sneaked out to visit a friend late Monday night and came back into the home through the basement.

Her father, 41-year-old Eric Scott, was awakened by motion sensor lights in his backyard and when he went to investigate found the basement door unlocked. He then saw someone in a basement bathroom and fired his service pistol, hitting his daughter in the knee. Her wounds are not considered life-threatening.

No charges have been filed. Scott is with the New Haven Police Department.

I have plenty of friends whose parents are cops and they never had to sneak around. One girl I knew fucked half of Minneapolis and did more drugs than a relapsed rehab patient and her dad was a county sheriff.
