Okay... I read over your replies, and your right, I'm going to force myself to like and respect jazz even though I really don't because you guys say that a person shouldn't just like hip-hop.  So I'm going to force myself to be the way you guys want me to be.
Givin' respect to 2pac September 7th-13th The Day Hip-Hop Died

Allah says that anyone who doesn't like jazz deserves to get their balls chopped off.  Allah, in fact, is a very big fan of Miles Davis.  Anyway, RUF lives by that philosophy as well, as we are fighting on behalf of the Nation of Gods and Earths.  So you should like jazz because Allah says you must.

RUF is the future!  Fuck with us (or say you hate jazz) and we slice off your nuts!

don't play that card. you should find where your hip hop roots are with a non bias heart. that's what people's problems are they look for music that is what they are use to hearing or they judged music based upon what they like.  music genres should be listened to with an open mind and unbias heart

on the real i HATED jazz for the longest time, i took a jazz appreciation corse and wakled away with it with a different feeling. i'll admit there's some jazz that doesn't sit right with me, but on the real there's a lot of Intelect in listening to jazz it challenges you, that's why a lot of intellectual circles listen to it.  plus there's so many different genres of it, and like i said hip hop is basically jazz, lol. most REAL hip hop albums are really just simplified R&B/ jazz records when you think about it

one of my favorite jazz recordings is "sing sing sing"- bennie goodman    , it's a very easy song to get into, and the drums are AMAZING. also the build ups and endings (and fuax endings) are BRILLIANT. i'd start there

also st. louis blues by ella fitzgerald is brilliant, when she starts scatting (freestyling cough cough hip hop cough cough) it gives me goosebumps everytime.
