How To Get into music
« on: July 11, 2001, 01:57:25 PM »
I was wondering after seeing that picture in the Dr. Dre production secrets article  what decisions a person should make such as what major in university a person should take to get a job like them.  Im jelous of those three guys in that picture, they have a dream job. There just three average  guys that get to work with the inventor of gangsta rap.  How does one get a job to work in a studio.?

Ask Around In Your Town.  Every Town Has Studios, ASk To Do Volunteer Work, Then Work Your Way Up.  The Only Way To Get Into It Would Be To Start Hanging Around It, Right?

BTW, I'm Pretty Sure That's How Mr. Loc Got Involved With It.

Peace.

Dre's production coordinator, Larry Chatman ran into I think it was Mike Elizondo or Tommy Coster Jr and he just said can I work with Dre.  Larry just said maybe, will give you a call...the guy got lucky.  Now they're jammin wit the worlds most influencial producer.
