Check out this old classic Eightball & MJG video
« on: December 01, 2007, 01:53:08 PM »
A classic video from 1995, one of Eightball and MJG hardest songs, tight ass video from the golden era of rap. Ball and G murdered this beat lyrically. A cool video as well: "Break em Off" :

And another classic from 2001 - Pimp Hard

Not feelin the first song, but Pimp Hard has always been one of my my favorites from them... They need their new shit to be bigger and better, though.

Signing with Puffy wasn't a good move for them in terms of music unfortunately.

i PARTLY agree with that
the 1st album on bad boy was DOPE...living legends was a damn near-classic IMO...real, real good album 8)
the last album was kind of a disaster...a lot of the songs didn't fit the 8ball & mjg style (ridin high, 30 rocks, clap on, get low). Although those 4 overall weren't "bad" songs, i DONT wanna hear them on a Ball & G album...on top of that if ur gonna go head and put songs like that on the album, why not release 1 of them 2 try and at least reach a decent audience?? but no, they go head and release relax & take notes (DOPE song bty) which clearly not a radio friendly single

agian, let me re-state that if it was up 2 me "commercial" songs wudn't be on a Ball & G album, but if they must be, go head and release one

I agree. Livin' legends was a very good album. The last one WAS a disaster indeed. Puffy pushed them to be just the same as any other Southern rapper, and that wasn't fitting their style at all.
