Common / Like Water For Chocolate
« on: June 10, 2001, 05:04:37 PM »
What do yall think of Common?
He is really dope, if you dont know him or havent heard any of his music I suggest you go download the song "6th Sense" its a very cool song and its produced by DJ Premier.
Does any one have Common's album "Like Water For Chocolate"? Is it worth buying?

The Sixth Sense is a tight song. I remember when I first heard it. Still one of my favorite songs.

I don't doubt his skills...I just can't stand his ass.  I've hated him since he got into it with Cube.

he wrecked cube

straight up

common is nicer than a motherflucka but i agree that his best shit is yet to come, hes capable of a classic album but needs to be careful that he doesnt get too preachy

cope 'like water for chocolate' tho, its one of the better ones from last year.

This album is bangin. THe sixth sense was one of my favorites of last year. I would recommend you listen to this album before buying it because alot of people who I tell to buy this album don't like preachy, smooth stuff. They expect stuff like the sixth sense, 1-9-9-9, etc.

Common is a good mc but i've never liked him or his music, i dunno he just sounds corny to me somtimes and he reminds me of those peeps who hang hang out at Barns And Noble all day or Coffee shops i dunno people like that irritate me, he's got a good flow but i'm just not diggin' him

i don't know why people say common ripped Cube....that song "the bitch in you" was dumb i coulda dissed cube better than that and i'm a huge cube fan...same with that Mobb Deep song that song was stupid diss song toward 2pac...i don't know why those 2 songs are held in such high reguard, I don't know that's just my opinion
