Muggs Preps "Street Kings" And Planet Asia Collaboration
« on: March 02, 2008, 05:52:02 AM »
DJ Muggs of The Soul Assassins will team up with director David Ayer on the upcoming film Street Kings. Muggs announced he will score the movie, which is already heavy with Hip Hop influences. Street Kings will be released April 11 and features Common, The Game and Forest Whitaker.
Ayer's previous credits include writing the script for Training Day, and directing 2005's Harsh Times.  A trailer of Street Kings is available in the HipHopDX media section, and via the link HERE.
As the acclaimed DJ and producer noted via his blog on SoulAssasins.com he's been "going at it hard in the lab lately." Muggs leaked "Hell's Shadows" yesterday (Feb. 28), and says more songs will follow, as he will continue leaking songs from the upcoming Muggs vs. Planet Asia album.
A third Soul Assassins album will follow the collaboration with Planet Asia. Muggs points out that, contrary to published reports, Muggs vs. Planet Asia and Soul Assassins 3 are two separate albums.
