So Busta Rhymes signed to Aftermath records in 2004...
« on: April 16, 2008, 04:36:56 AM »
Then why did everyone keep saying how Big Bang wasn't worth the 4 year wait, if he signed in 2004. That doesn't mean he's been working on Big Bang since 2002 but 2004, which makes the album being released in 2006 normal. I know that Lyrical G always said that, not that I'm dissing him or anything, I'm just curious.

I just read in that Vibe article that he signed in 2004, I didn't know that before, because everyone keept saying about the 4 years, I always thought he signed in 2002.

I cannot remember exactly but im pretty sure there was already alot of rumours of dre and busta gettin together before they officially did but the 4 year as explained by the posters before me is the wait between big bang and his pervious album. Busta has always been known to put out albums on a regular basis and then came the 4 years for big bang. As i said before....not worth the wait at all imo...dope album no doubt still!

Cool. You know it was just that you and also few other posters always said how Big Bang wasn't worth the 4 year wait, so I always automaticaly thought "ok, so Busta signed in 2002", then I read the Vibe article and see it was 04. It could be that Busta released It Aint Safe... in 02, took a little time off and then started working on Big Bang in 04 with Dre, which would make the 06 release date suprisingly soon for Aftermath. But it could also be like you said, that they started working prior to the signing, who knows.

yeah no doubt i can see you how would think that, no problems homie. Also im pretty sure busta was working on material before he signed with dre and stuff, busta aint the type of cat to take a two year break away fom the studio. Everywhere it was basically hyped as the aftermath debut of busta 4 years after his last so i guess thats where the 4 part just kinda came from!
