I read somewhere that TTT didn't want Quik to rap on the song, they just wanted him to produce a song.  But Quik said, he wouldn't do it without rapping on it.

Classic track. Some people just don't realise how brilliant Quik is. He SHOULD by all rights be known as one of the greatest hip-hop artists and producers of all time but people always underrate him.
