Heres A Little Bio On The Group
Quote
The Truth
The Tykoonz is not a group created by one sole individual. It is a collaboration of thoughts, values, and ideals shared amongst many individuals.

A product of the Redwood Curtain—Humboldt County, CA—The Tykoonz have surfaced in all sections of California, with CEO/producer Freddy “Locs” currently residing in sunny San Diego, CA. The group's other artists, Young Casheesh & Angel, are currently residing in Humboldt, CA.

Under the Freshside Records label, the Tykoonz have started a movement from the county they come from in an effort to showcase their music to the world.

From Humboldt to the Bay
The big city and bright lights of San Francisco, California was the first stop for the Tykoonz. Infused in the peak of the Hyphy Movement, “the Bay experience” was much more than that. An understanding of the different aspects of music was developed, and an opportunity to attain knowledge in one of the Mecca’s of music was seized.

Whether its connections, the plug, or networking, a patient process has the Tykoonz approaching the summit and ready to emerge.

The Content
If the music of Freshside can be summed up in one word, it’s versatility. The ability to make a record for any situation sets Locs and the Tykoonz apart from the rest in Humboldt.

For the Tykoonz, music isn’t a hobby or an activity—it’s a lifestyle. Freshside music takes realistic ideas from the outside and brings them into the studio.

Recognition grew in the streets, including shows with Southern rapper Bubba Sparxxx, and Bay Area hip hop group The Pack. Their most recent project, the track “Gettin’ Green” featuring San Quinn, is soon to hit the streets. Recent collaborations with Low Profile Records also soon to come.
