havent seen anybody more ignorant than you.. his taste is his thing first of all, and he was totally right new west aint nothing, its fail for me.. west is weak this times, maybe when WC or Cube will finally drop somethin, it'll be good, but after those releases nothin really will change, if we will live at detox times maybe it will change somethin, but if has to continue like it is, i dont see the west comin back

The west had chances to be back and blew them all. For example the hyphy movement. They had the right idea but then they flooded us with shitty music and got into little girl fights about who invented what word, who was really down with Mac Dre, etc etc. Then there was the whole West Coast unity charade around when Cali Iz Active dropped. Once again, good idea, but they forgot about it a month later and were all in it for themselves again. Looking back on it, it looked more than anything like a publicity stunt to reunite Tha Dogg Pound and do some damage control at the same time. Then there was the whole new west thing. We got the OG's and the young rappers beefin with each other. The young cats had some buzz going with a couple songs but totally blew it by not dropping albums. They (labels and artists included) were waiting for the perfect time and that window of opportunity was open and shut pretty quick for them.

The West dropped the ball. A lot.

there was always somethin missing.. maybe the right person to start it, to get attention to the west, that the others will have that oppurtinity to drop an album and maybe more ppl will check it at the time, then it'd go on for a while.. but we're missing THAT person whoever that'd be, theres a need for a 1 classic west coast album to drop to get a attention to the west!
