How to rap like Kurupt inside!
« on: November 19, 2010, 04:14:18 PM »
Ok, we all know Kurupt used to be the man....However, he lost his flow right after his Space Boogie album....So, I've put together a few steps for everything to rap like he does now.....Check it out:

1.  Smoke a bunch of shit, or drink some OE
2.  Don't be very creative, keep this shit simple and do a lil something like this:

Kurupt dropping bombing like a bombing dropping, armor from an armory, fire from the fire house, a hammer with a hammer head, flame coming out the flame of a flame thrower...missiles flying with a missile....thats right nigga....keep it real nigga....(use nigga at the end 20 more times).....

It's very simple, easier then cooking crack.  You will have people that are stupid buying your records and saying the shit is tight.  It's legit, try it!

If you want to go back in time, grab his stuff from 1991-1999.  Bottom line......Stop buying his new wack shit!  He needs to make an effort to get our money.

Call it how you want....The truth hurts.......

I think he's just too far gone. Something fucked his head up like too much drinking or smoking. Or maybey it was shrooms or sherm.

The dude here is right........Kurupt really had his moments back in the day....but finally all that weed puffing has caught up to him...

his memory probably isn't what it used to be ....he has some connects he needs to hire a song writer for himself...then he might be able to do something good....but his solo albums are hella wack....

I understand where you are coming from and i agree that it seems as if he doesn't put too much effort anymore in his rhymes but every once in a while, he comes hard. As for the style of rhyming, im assuming that your being sarcastic with the lyrics you wrote but many people really dont understand his word play and assume that he is just talking nonsense. These days it seems like kurupt is trying to be more of a poet than lyricist and i also believe that he is just not as dedicated as before. Back in the days he wanted to be the sickest MC in the world but i think now he is focused more on money. He has like 10 kids haha and i understand that this rap game is dying out, so they are trying to make as much loot as they can. The way i see it is that regardless of who kurupt is now, his old school shit would never be topped. You cant make too many classics and the originality of that era will never be back. The sound and feel of that old school west coast era is dead. I grew up on that era and i miss it a lot but life goes on and shit changes. Look how horrible hip hop is now. Its pathetic, and thats why i still listen to just the old school shit that i never get tired of. I was actually listening to Dogg Food recently and that shit will never be duplicated. Kurupt has given us many classic albums and i think we should just lay off and let him be. At least he still somewhat old school, compared to Snoop. I still look for favorite artist like kurupt, quik, dre, warren g, snoop etc to drop some sick shit but i dont expect and classics.

I'm still a fan, just disappointed with him.  He doesn't care about taking his career serious anymore.  I still have his old stuff in my Itunes, and a select few off his new albums.  2 songs off BlackOut, and 3 off Streetlights.  You can't tell me they were solid albums.  His first 2 you can play straight through and i got my monies worth.  I'm really just tired of this sloppy flow and he's running around like he's all that.  Why no more Battlecat, Fred Wreck, Daz tracks.  I don't think he can afford the production and just really doesn't care or is smoked out his mind.  I guess I'm dissing him, but I'm not a fan like I used to be.

I still love watching the GTV DVD, that will always be classic.  I think I sold 20 copies of that for him to people that didn't even know who he was.  I guess it's like I'm a guy from the 60's bitching about Rock N Roll has changed.  Atleast some of those dudes have made a comeback.  Look at The Game, he has 3 solid albums (in my opinion) but he has major production.  It's still possible for another album.  He just needs to clean up his shit, and focus on what he DID best.

Damn, your right.  Those ad-libs are actually pretty funny if he uses them right.

I feel ya, I loved Streetlights, flow was slower but more focused than the rants in the past. I really think he wanted to try something new with a different producer and at times it seems like he gets crucified for that. But in all the interviews I have seen people betta get used to it as Cube says because he is doing more albums like that.

And GTV and the Liks DVDs were horrible to me. 2-3 hours of watching all of them drunk and high out their mind doing home made videos and freestyles. Best parts were the ass and titty shots from the groupies lol.  ;D
