Just a few weeks ago, K-Boy – one of the prominent new rap voices from South Central Los Angeles – released a powerful record called “Malcolm X” featuring rising star Kendrick Lamar.

The song garnered high amounts of attention across the rap music world, both in word of mouth on the streets and across the blogosphere. He’s now releasing the music video for the song, adding visuals to the already growing arsenal of musical treats for his listeners. Check out the video below:

As you might remember, K-Boy was shot four times back in May of 2010 due to the senseless violence that plagues the streets of Los Angeles. The shooting was a life-changing moment for K-Boy in more ways than one, helping change his outlook on life, family and his career.

He’s been working hard to recover and has focused on the positives in his life, including his talents on the microphone. To fully showcase his skill and place among the top new faces from California, he planned his musical return with a powerful record that features Top Dawg artist Kendrick Lamar.
