The new pete rock double cd with INI and Deda

I wasn't feelin it at all. The production was plain and outdated sounding. If you're looking for recent Pete Rock music, check out Petestrumentals.

Main Ingredient
Tight. Get it.

Mecca and the Soul Brother
My favorite album they ever dropped and Pete Rock's production was incredible. Damn CL Smooth and Pete Rock made a good team.
Being a LAKER is a privilige. Unfortunately some "Lakers" have forgotten that.

Pick up Main Ingredient and Mecca & The Soul Brother. Both perfect 5/5 albums IMO.

You can't go wrong with any of Gang Starr's CDs.

Most hip-hop is now keyboard driven, because the majority of hip-hop workstations have loops and patches that enable somebody with marginal skills to put tracks together,...

Unfortunately, most hip-hop artists gravitated towards the path of least resistance by relying on these pre-set patches. As a result, electric guitar and real musicians became devalued, and a lot of hip-hop now sounds the same.

Main Ingredient
Mecca and the Soul Brother
Get em both. Mecca & The Soul Brother is a real classic

Jeru the Damaja - The Sun Rises in the East
Jeru the Damaja - Wrath of the Math
Group Home - Livin Proof (primo production)
Yeah, just don't buy Jeru's newer ones cause the production kinda sucks on most tracks. Livin Proof is a very nice album, they might not be the tightest MC's ever, but Primo really did a good job

I got "Hard To Earn" and "Step In The Arena" and I heard a lot off the other ones. You won't regret buyin any of their CD's

Pretty much summed it up perfectly.

Also, definitely pick up Pete Rock - Soul Brother album, dope production throughout and some real dope guests on that album as well.

Jeru is great. His new albums are weak, but that goes without saying. His day is over. When he was hot, believe, he was great.

Group Home is also great. Premo killed it with the production.
