Money, although it's good to have, some rappers get deals and think they ain't gotta work hard on their craft anymore
Overexposure from all media
Following hip-hop trends in beats and rhymes

Money, bling-bling - some tend to think that's all life is about.

Following hiphop trends in beats can be good, but when it comes to rhymes it sucks in any possible way.

FAME often is enough for a MC just to fall off - most used to be better during their struggling days. (Does'nt go for all MC's though)

basically, rappers try to do different things on their records after they have had success, Most of the time its not well received.

The way I see it is this:

A rapper spends his whole life going though things, and gaining experiences. When he's signed, he has all this to talk about so he takes the cream of the crop. The best stories, and his best flows. pretty much, he has a whole lifetime of shit to draw from, so thats why freshmen albums are often so good IMO.

Exactly, its a lot easier making a first album based on 20-25 years of life experience, than a second based on the couple of years in between the first album and the second.

i love men who take pictures with their booty's out

being lazy and knowing the gon sell anyway no matter how bad they are

newest example: Eminem (Encore). Im sure he knows how fucking whack most of his songs there are. He sometimes almost states that in the lyrics lol.
Cause I don't care where I belong no more
What we share or not I will ignore
And I won't waste my time fitting in
Cause I don't think contrast is a sin
No, it's not a sin

good point. This also has to do with the 'hunger' MC's often show on their first albums and lose more and more the longer their career has been going on
