ive heard more than enough of the Black Eyed Peas for me to be able to say whether they are wack or not...and imo they are...Joints and Jams, BEP Empire and a few other tracks were tight, but i havent heard anything else, especially in the last few years, that has made me want to listen any more...

I first heard black eyed pease on Joints and Jams, and didn't really like em.  I thought the songs they did with Esthro and Macy Gray were good.  I'm not really a fan of theirs, but I know that they try to remain true to hip hop with all the success they've had.  Props to them for makin money.

And, at the end of the day, you can't say BEP are not Hip Hop. They lived Hip Hop for years. They stayed truer than true to Hip Hop. Dilated People,Jurrasic 5,Black Eyed Peas,The Hieroglyphics,Hobo Junction,The Pharcyde,Freestyle Fellowship,Living Legends, just to name a few, are true West Coast Artists themselves in their own right. It's just that they are not considered gangster rap like what West Coast Hip Hop is famous for.As for BEP, I liked their early work but lately they have been more commercialized with their music.
Adding Fergie as a singer to the group(I heard her sing live twice and she sucks) was a bad choice.She's not exactly Lauryn Hill like where she can sing and spit like the ex-Fugee can.BEP is what they are,take it or leave it.You don't have to buy and listen to their cd's.
