AZ...
« on: September 24, 2005, 01:14:07 PM »
Could anyone give me some pointers on what albums of his are considered 'classic' or any good albums he has? Recently I been playing illmatic alot and his verse on 'life's a bitch' made me decide to finally check him. I know I am late in checking AZ, but I appreciate any info given to me. Thx!

Is it just me... I didn't like Doe Or Die.

A.W.O.L. is really really really solid though, and well worth checking out.

Thx for the info everyone! Kinda of dissappointed tho to hear do or die wasn't that great. I heard other people calling classic; guess I going have to check for myself. Right now I gonna give awol a listen.

Get his greatest hits... it's called 'Decade - 1994-2004', double disc, and it's amazing. It's got a few tracks from that shelved album, freestyles, b-sides and all the best cuts off each album. Well worth checking out as a starting point.

Doe Or Die is the best. It's up there with the East classics like Illmatic. Features include Nas and Raekwon.
For me, in order of which is the best album:

1- Doe Or Die
2- AWOL
3- Pieces of a man
4- 9 Lives
5- Aziatic
