Does 50 want a piece of Kanye? Earlier this week, reports started spreading that 50 Cent opposed Kanye West's comments that "George Bush doesn't care about black people." "The New Orleans disaster was meant to happen. It was an act of God," 50 offered, implying that no one is to blame for the tragedy. "I think people responded to it the best way they can. What Kanye West was saying, I don't know where that came from." Now with mainstream publications like CNN and MSNBC giving light to 50's remarks, the Queens rapper recently elaborated on (Los Angeles) Kiss FM "On Air With Ryan Seacrest" morning show. All I said...me and Kanye got similar defensive characteristics. Sometimes we say things without thinking," Fif told Seacrest. "It's his opinion. He has a right to that. I mean but if he was attempting to get publicity at that point he did a good job. We were on the phone talking about him." Yet, Fiddy stood his ground, stating that he felt Kanye was wrong for his Bush comments. When questioned on whether he considered West competition, 50 acknowledged that he was "extremely talented" before replying, "Not with Kanye. It's the opposite. I think because of me, it makes a clear avenue for Kanye. There's a lot of people that object to 50 because I write aggressive music. And Kanye West was the next thing to come out that was actually good. It was non confrontational and non aggressive."
