Yeah I was kinda pissed when I read that. Ren is better than any rapper on the 2001 album (besides Defari/King Tee). He woulda killed any track on that album.

Most hip-hop is now keyboard driven, because the majority of hip-hop workstations have loops and patches that enable somebody with marginal skills to put tracks together,...

Unfortunately, most hip-hop artists gravitated towards the path of least resistance by relying on these pre-set patches. As a result, electric guitar and real musicians became devalued, and a lot of hip-hop now sounds the same.

Although I like Knoc, IMO Ren would've been a lot tighter. And I was equally disappointed that Ren didn't rip that "LA Niggas" trac.

well it was either hitt or knoc..

knoc comes tight as fuck on that shit...

remember hitt got knocked off of  whats the diff by xzibit

simply because xzibit spat better over it.. may ren's just sour?

IMO the more verses/artists on a trac the better. I still don't understand why Hit wasn't included on "What's The Difference". His verse was tight as hell.

Nah, I don't think so.  I loved that song the way it was, I think Ren would have sounded too hard for the hook.

FUCK! Bang Bang was one of the nicest beats on 2001! Ren would have been PERFECT with his hard delivery! they should have just added a verse and made the song longer, it was short as hell
