many people label you as a hater if you don't like an album or an artist, and some people will never see anything bad out of their favorite rappers.  That second part doesn't really bother me, because of course everyone has their own opinion, and some people really do luv everything that comes out of certain rappers.  but the part about labeling people as haterz has just gotten ridiculous.

I admit I really hate: Nelly, Ja Rule, Bone Crusher.  I will never give any of their music a chance, I will always automatically hate it.  But when it comes to west coast rappers, I will give all of them a chance.

I listen to so much, and such a wide variety of westcoast music, I'm sure more than most people on here.  I see comments like:"its the thing to do, to hate on popular artists." or "you haterz would like him if he was underground."  or "you just hate cause he is on the radio."
That is such bullshit.  I would luv if the westcoast became popular again and was all over mainstream.  but I would only like that to happen if the mainstream changed, and the westcoast music didn't change to fit the mainstream.

Fact of the matter is, I have listen to a shitload of rap.  Really, not much at all has impressed me in the last few years.  I find the game to be as an avg of a rapper there is.  Does that mean I hate him?  No, not at all, I hate Ja Rule, I just feel the game doesn't stand out to me at all.

Knoc, he is ok too, doesn't stand out too much to me.  I wasn't really impressed with his earliest stuff that got bootlegged, but I really have been feeling the latest stuff he has dropped.  I think Peeping Tom and Way I am are sick.

Sly boogie is aight.  sure he is really lyrical, but thats all about him that stands out to me.

Dr. Stank - He is tight, I really like him, especially his voice and flow.

Crooked I - Dope as fuck, but needs good beats that fit his style.

Roscoe -thought his album was dope, nice solid album, a few bangers really stand out.

But really none of these rappers, except maybe crooked I, stand out and have such an impact of the rappers that started out 10 years ago.  I don't understand why I am a hater if I say no way do I want Game to be the future of the west coast.

If you give something a chance and really don't like it, then you're not a hater. That is a formidable opinion that can be backed up. If you base your opinion off a couple radio singles(like most do with Lil Jon) and don't check out the album, then you're a hater. I give EVERYTHING a chance, then I make a decision on it.


So pretty much put it this way. I been listening to The Game since he was on QB 2 Compton. These people who are on his jock just started bumping him. TO ME, he has lowered his standards of rapping to become more "generic" and "appealing." As a person who's been there since he first came out, I can say that. That is why I feel he's not that tight.
