Seems like Suga Free is having some trouble getting the first single of his new album The New Testament out there. After it was set to be "Angry Enough", they then wanted to record a remix of the song with ODB in New York. Then, the homies at westcoast2k.net had up what was set to be the new single, the DJ Quik produced "Cool" which featured Morris Day & The Time. However, due to Prince not clearing the sample used for the song, they have now picked the song "High Heels", produced by Compton OG Big Saccs to be the first single of the album.
Let's hope this doesn't lead to the record being further pushed back and we see Free's followup to his classic debut in stores soon!

DJ Quik didn't produce "Cool". Big Saccs & Lil Jay said Freeze produced it.

Too bad Quik isn't handling all of the production. Saccs is cool though, so it should still be tight.

I thought it was tight as fuck when I first heard it. Besides Suga Free's lyrics, I don't see what's so special about it now. I'm glad it won't be on the album, plus it would've been a HORRIBLE single.

I wasn't really feelin cool, it woulda been about the 8th best song if it was on "street gospel."

I would say Don't fight the pimpin should be the first single, because that shit is hard as fuck, but the fact that sample was already used by Quik will make some people not like it as much. But that song would sell around the country, a lot more than angry enough or cool.

^that is a tremendous dissapointment... the song was bangin... fuck prince, wtf he won't let suga free use the sample but camron sampled prince of diamonds and pearls and the shit is gonna be on his album i think... suga free should atleast release it on mixtapes so we can have that shit in good quality...
