Gotta give it up to Jermain Dupri
« on: February 26, 2004, 11:05:26 PM »
imo, westcoast music is ay its lowest rite now. JD seems to be backing daz completely. he's got daz pretty focussed too (which i dont think he was on dpgc u know wat.....). i didnt understand JDs beef wit dre but he is a heavyweight in the hiphop industry and daz is talented as a rapper and producer. he could bring out summ in daz that we havent seen. im personally quite anxious to see wat daz can come up wit at so so def.
any1 else see it the same way?

peace

i gave props to jd for songs like "money aint a thang" but i dont think anybody should suddenly be in love with him just for signing daz dillinger. i agree daz is in a slump, but he wont suddenly be at top of his game just because hes on so so def. in case you havent noticed, so so def aint exactly the greatest label.

Daz has been in a slump ever since Life I lead.  I admit I really have liked Daz latest efforts on his songs, and I think he has got a good flow goin, but I think his album on so so def is gonna be way wack.  It will be way to watered down, and meant for the kids and the bitches.  Hopefully I'm wrong.

I'd rather hear Daz production on it, but I gots ta give it up to JD cause he did some great beats back in the day...funky shit no doubt. Kris Kross "Young Rich and Dangerous" was a dope album beat wise, "Some cut up" being one of my fav beats. If JD can put on his funky mode this could be a dope album.

And besides , cant remember the last time heard Crips using Chuuuuch. Long time ago. Much like Bling Bling being activly used in the streets back in 1995. Just shows how long it takes for the people who AINT in the streets to get the slang. What does that tell you about Snoop
