Makaveli - The Last Scriptures
« on: March 12, 2004, 02:30:48 AM »
This either the 3rd or the first album from Makaveli Recordz, second being the Outlawz. But of course there was the Thug Life 2 album due out on that label with just Pac/Mussolini.

I am currently hunting for a tracklist or information on this Makaveli release. He definitly had another album ready, someone close to that camp were speaking about how he was going to release Makaveli 2 one MONTH after his first Makaveli release and that 97  was just going to be fire hitting the music industry, dropping album after album after album.

Think that was going to be a record at that time to drop 3 albums in 1 year, but I'll look into that too.

Note: Untouchable, U Can Be Touched & Why U Turn On Me were all recorded on the same day - that I know for sure, and I think this was actually before the first Makaveli album.

Not exactly. After Makaveli album he recorded other songs, i think they were songs for the Thug Life 2 album.. Man Pac recorded almost everyday. If i remember well he recorded some tracks the day before he died.

Idiots, Makaveli album was recorded a week before it was released. Him and Suge had Jodeci, Danny Boy and Aarn Hall shipped to the studio ASAP to do the video and song, they had to get it done so fast! read an old db interview
thats why johhnny j etc his real producers wernt on it, they didnt have time to get in and work on it, it needed to be made in 1 week

so you're tellin me that in 1 week they can record an album (a classic at that), get all the tweaking done in the studio, get all the guest appearances in, get the album covers done, produced hundereds of thousands of copies of the album, and ship them worldwide? i dont think so buddy.

No. He just said the album was recorded in a week. Actually, it was recorded in 3 days. In the other 4 days they mixed the shit, adjusted the sound, cutted some tracks, selected the tracks. Pac made double the number of songs for that CD. And it was supposed to be an EP. But that's another story. He "made" all them tracks in 3 days. Then DR changed it a bit (after Pac died) by adding other tracks, and by making it a CD.

If you listen to Krazy, Pac says "3 day theory". Cause it was an EP supposed to be made in just 3 days, with references to Jesus Christ. Death Row totally chanced it, by adding new unreleased songs, and intro, etc..

how is anyone listening to this claim? How could Makaveli be recorded a week before it was released? It was released months after Pac died! lol

And Pac was supposably bumpin it the night they were shot. Antonio said if he remembered right Pac recorded songs the day before he died...well, i think he ment the day before he was shot, coz the days after the shooting were spent in the hospital. Pac spoke about the Makaveli album he recorded in his famous interview with Sway on the set of the How Do U Want It video set... work it out, its simple arithmatic (sp?)

Yeah, lol. The day before he got shot. Obviously. Damn now that i think about it it's a real shame! I mean immagine if Pac could have had that chance! To make a track after he got shot, knowing he was about to die.. speaking nothing but true shit! Unfortunately, he wasnt even able to speak or let ppl understand him. Too bad. Fucked up.

pac was a genius. Anyone who says pac was a bad rapper deserves to have all their music burned and themselves burned at the stake

no he said recorded a week before it was released...which is impossible considering it came out after pac died...but lets say it was possible. they would have to record, do all the techinical shit for the album, do the artwork and shit (could've been done before), that on its own would take probably a week if not more...then you have to produce hundereds of thousands of copies to ship worldwide (not likely in a week), then you have to actually ship them which is going to take days anyway. so as i said before...impossible.
