The mean streets of New York's hip-hop underground are once again the battlefield for a new video game, "Def Jam Vendetta 2."

The virtual-fighting game, created by EA Games in collaboration with Def Jam Records, continues the premise of the first "Vendetta" adventure, which put hip-hop stars alongside fictional street thugs in an underworld power grab.

Lined up for "Def Jam Vendetta 2" are character representations of Ludacris, Snoop Dogg, Busta Rhymes, Ghostface, Joe Budden, Method Man and Lil' Kim. Old-school icons like Ice-T, Slick Rick and Flava Flav are included, too, as are lithe femme fatales Carmen Electra and Def Jam honcho Russell Simmons' wife and Baby Phat creator, Kimora Lee Simmons.

The game is designed to host online play, which means players from around the world can challenge each other via an Internet connection.

"Vendetta 2" is expected in stores this fall. An accompanying soundtrack is being planned, featuring new songs by several Def Jam artists.

That would be tite if they had a combo or code that you do with him, to where he gets a blast of cocaine or heroin and for like 10 seconds, no matter how many times you kick him, it doesn't do shit to him.

Yeah the clock should definitely be used as a weapon.

Yeah, they should have more big names since Snoop, for example, isn't a Def Jam artist. I'd like to see the Shady/Aftermath roster in there too - although Busta Rhymes is a playable character as well, but I'd rather see the likes of Ice Cube and Dre. lol, I hope W.C. is still in it. I know he's off Def Jam now contractually, but he was my favourite character to play as when I borrowed the original off of a friend. Still, I doubt people like him, DMX and Keith Murray (who is also off of Def Jam) will appear for a second time.

There was a cool rumour I heard a while ago that 50 Cent, the G-Unit and Eminem were all going to appear in the next GTA. That would be a cool addition but I can't really see the games developers working them into the story very well - unless its not at all similar to any other GTA.

It'll be funny playing as Snoop. I bet he gets his ass whipped by 90% of the characters on that game (including Buddens, no disrespect to Snoop though lol). It was cool playing as Snoop in ''True Crime'' on the 'Dogg Patrol' missions so he should be a funny character in the game.

Be dope to play as Cube, or E-A-Ski or better yet The D.O.C. . I doubt they'd ever put him in but that'd be so tight. Warren would be cool too, or Nate Dogg
