Tarantino Plans Third 'Kill Bill'

NEW YORK — "Kill Bill -- Vol. 2" isn't even in theaters yet, but Quentin Tarantino (search) says he's already planning volume three.

 
 
"Oh yeah, initially I was thinking this would be my 'Dollars' trilogy. I was going to do a new one every 10 years. But I need at least 15 years before I do this again," the director tells Entertainment Weekly magazine in its April 16 issue.

Tarantino says Uma Thurman, who plays a bride out for revenge in the series that began last year, won't be the star.

"The star will be Vernita Green's (Vivica A. Fox's) daughter, Nikki (Ambrosia Kelley). I've already got the whole mythology: Sofie Fatale (Julie Dreyfus) will get all of Bill's money. She'll raise Nikki, who'll take on The Bride," he says. "Nikki deserves her revenge every bit as much as The Bride deserved hers. I might even shoot a couple of scenes for it now so I can get the actresses while they're this age."

I don't see him ever finishing it.  He talks too much shit about what he's gonna do, he's slow as hell.  I dunno if it's a problem getting the money to do it or if he's just lazy, but it's been YEARS since he did anything before this.  I hope he steps his shit up, though, I'd love to see a new Q movie every few years!

You mean, the movie he wrote 15 years ago?  I'm just saying: Why the fuck doesn't he DO anything?  Kill Bill is the first thing he's done in ages.  Other people who had hits around the time Pulp Fiction came out have had about 10 movies out since then, he's had what, 3?  

well i guarantee you Inglrorious Bastards will be out before 2006.

Anything he drops...its been gold man.  Hes 3 1/2 out of 4so far....the other half is saved to see if Vol.2 will be even better than vol.1.

4 films in 13 years, thats not THAT BAD....compared to Kubrick.

I agree, all his stuff is good.  I even liked 4 rooms.  I just think he's bullshitting a lot of times.  I'd pretty much put money on IB NOT being out by 2006.  

ur gonna check out Vol.2 on Friday then?  Its been getting better reviews so far than Vol.1

I don't think you can really compare Kubrick to Tarantino...Kubrick dropped a movie about every other year, until "The Shining"...That's when he became rich, old, and started slacking off...But he didn't start out lazy, like Tarantino...Kubrick, in my eyes, is probably one of the greatest directors ever...A true genius...Here's proof:

P.S., Tarantino is working on a new movie called "Inglorious Bastards"...I'd like to see that happen, though I'd be surprised if it came out in the next 3 years...PeACe

what Quentin comes short in visuals compared to Kubrick...he more than makes it up in his writing skills.
