ill tell you but im not gonna vote.

Start Derek fischer again as point guard. Drop payton.
Drop malone and find a better power forward. medvledenko can still play backup.
Make sure kobe and shaq are back
Phil jackson can stay if he wants, because hes got experience.
Now that you have some cap room due to starter movements
hire a lot of new bench players,because lakers bench currently sucks ass.

and there you go that is all they need to do to win the championship. one factor in the lakers horrible defeat, is that there bench couldnt help out the team when kobe,shaq, or malone sat down. Pistons had the right idea. you need a good bench to win,

seriously if i was the gm of the lakers....

1.  Talk to Orlando...and trade kobe for tracy mcgrady and the 1st overall pick and take omeka okafor or dwight howard with it

2.  talk pat riley to take the vacant coaching position

3.  trade (washed up players) veterans like fox, fisher, and devon george to a team with a lot of young talent that needs some veteran leadership with playoff experience for some youth and athleticism(denver, memphis, washington??)

4.  start luke walton at the 3

5.  keep payton and talk karl malone to come back as a back up

Worst poll ever...What they should do is try to keep Kobe and Shaq, and rebuild around them...Keep Rush, Walton, George, Fisher, and Medvadenko...Then get some free agents, and trade whoever is left over...If Kobe has a clear head this season, and Shaq gets in shape, they can bring back the championship trophy to LA for the '05...
