How is 'Halloween' not realistic? Serial killers exist in this world today, and maybe it's a little overexagerated, but it's still not completely "unrealistic" like 'The Matrix' is...PeAcE

I understand you don't like the movie very much, but saying its "completely unrealistic" is just plain ignorant.  But like you and Grinch said, Halloween contains an element of realism : Serial Killers.  But at the same time, is the 'curse of the thorn'(i think this is the curse) making a serial killer somewhat super human, realistic?
 Similarly, machines taking over the world is not exactly realistic, but if you pay attention to the philosphical overtones, the heavy doses of religion and spirituality in the movie you'll realise how even the Matrix has a realistic aspect.  Even if you don't beleive in God or anything like that, the movie brings up many questions such as the existance of free will, the control of the goverment, brainwashing media, what makes us human etc.  I strongly suggest you read "Simulacra and Simulation" by Jean Baudrillard before you claim the Matrix has noting realistic about it.
