In the words of Slip Capone:

[Slip Capone]
You know the gangstas hang and gangstas bang
And gangstas slang, It's just a gangsta thang
Gangstas dip and some gangstas trip
Im the gangsta Slip and this gangsta crip
I used ta bump brother with the gangsta nip
Cause wasn't nobody else on the gangsta tip
Gangstas smoke sherm and gangsta rock perms
Gangstas don't listen and gangstas don't learn
Gangsta rock braids and gangsta jerry curls
Gangsta's don't take over the world
Gangsta's go to jail
, gangstas get bailed
Gangsta's make mail and gangsta's would never fail
Gangsta's goin stay on top
Because the gangsta is going to make the gangsta shit pop
Just lounge homeboy you in the gangsta zone
Heart thrown in California where the gangstas roll

Like the rest of the people said. There is nothing great about being a "Gangsta". I lived in a gang neighborhood & when the opportunity came for me to get the fuck outta there, I did. I mean, 3 in the morning you'd hear gunshots & car alarms going off because there was a driveby. Shit is fucking stupid. And kids these days think that being "Gangsta" is cool. The hood that I lived in, their was a 11 year old & he walked around with a 9mm & he thought that he was the king of the world. It's fucked up.

absolutely nothing..shows you cant be your own man and you have little confidence in your own ability to get around in this world...to throw yourself into a little irrelevant clique that does little if anything positive in society shows that you have no ambition in life.

What's so great about being a gangsta.!

Protection
Unity and familiarisation
dedication and respect

You see, a gangsta aint Tray Deee running around with a gun doing a drive by on some overgrown crip in the wrong side of town late at night. Do any of you people know anything? After the whole Watts riots in 1965 we seen the active people in strong political partys break away and have their strong followers create black street gangs to protect the black population on the streets against the white policeman, against the white doctor, against the white man. Early 70's saw both partys form. The bloods were always organising but the Crips were first to emerge and had more political credability so they had the power. These weren't the Kelleys from the early century, they had more ability to succeed this time round.

I know!!!!

Their aim was the same - to maintain social and racial homogenity of neibourhoods by denying non-whites access to property ownership and profitable businesses including chain stores in the inner cities. This is from the site I did work on years ago.

The rise in gangs came around the 60's when blacks were forced into housing schemes of low quality and being overcrowded were not happy. On the eastside of la and westside of la had both gangs but because they were increasingly active in making a difference the white hold on blacks were weakining and because of this, blacks were finally controlling business, controlling more money. Not all but more of it. both sides then became small enemies but murder was never a common issue. However the youngsters were the most violent as they got older after seeing the watts riots as youths. After the exausting riots. News reported gang activity had stopped in la and this just made the gang activity rise.

I can go on forever but point is if you aren't in a gang then it will be hard to survive on your own. The police are a gang and until you see them slanging drugs and raping women in the side of alleys then you'll realise why you can't retaliate on your own, and when you think it's wrong to retaliate just wait til it's your mother who is the one coming home tearful and clothes ripped and nobody will believe a damm thing!

Being in a gang is to survive these streets. You all believe the media hype about Bloods and Crips hating each other and always drive by's bang bang etc. But I among many others know the real truth and history on the subject

retard

And why is that? That is just ignorant. I am explaining a piece of histroy and how black street gangs started. It all started with racism and by calling me a retard is a racist comment in itself. I don't hate you for it because I am stronger than that
